My $0.02: If he's willing to play for us, and he's not asking to break the bank, and we can afford the barf bags for Section 303, I'd be all for it. It'd be even more of a plus if he opened up a Chelly's Chili on Broadway, preferably in the old Seanachie's building or one of the other boarded-up places a few blocks from the SC.

I don't think I would have a problem with it. As long as his contract isn't larger than the last one he signed with detroilet.
You know it's only going to be for one year and he would be a very good mentor for the youngsters... I know some people will bitch and moan because they hate the guy so much but he was an awesome player and the lessons he could pass on would almost be worth his contract.

As a Red Sox fan if you were to ask me if I'd like a old Derek Jeter I'D say "##### yes". I'd say the same thing for Chris Chelios. BUT still, the thought of Chelios on Blue and gold brings up images of Luke Skywalker screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" when he finds out Darth Vader is his father.

I think he has at least another year left in him--not at the top of his game, certainly, but for the right price, yeah.

He'd be nothing more than a third pair/permascratch guy to mentor the youngsters. It would be a roster spot filled by an assistant coach for defensive development.

So is that a good thing or a bad thing?

It's a good idea considering the short experience we have now.

Or when he found out that Leia was his sister, cause you know he had a thing for her and probably sat up at night and imagined being with her and one thing probably led to another and.......you know.
